How to create an internship/practical placement!
If your degree programme permits its students to create an internship/practical placement, you can do so by following the instructions outlined below. Please bear in mind that not all degree programmes offer this opportunity.
Beware of the distinction between danish and foreign internship places. In this context, internships in Greenland are considered danish internship places, whereas Faroese internships are considered foreign places.
Creating an internship position at a danish internship place
- All internship creations begin by setting up a search in the search engine
- If the internship place is already registered in PRAKTIKPORTALEN, you can create a placement by pressing the “Create internship position on the internship place” button.
- If the internship place is not registered, you have to register the place by pressing the “Create internship place” button. Beware that the “Create internship place” button will only occur once you have searched for a place in the search engine.
4. If you are looking for a Danish or Greenlandic company, you will find their place by either searching for their name, address, zip code, or CBR (Central Business Register).
5. After this, press the “Search” button, and it will run the place through CBR.
6. The search results will appear at the bottom of the page.
7. Once you have found your wanted internship place, please press the “Choose” button. You will be directed to an application form.
Please fill out the necessary information a red star highlights the mandatory information.
8. Once you have filled out all of the necessary information, press the “Create” button. Your internship place has now been registered and is sent to your degree programme for approval.
Creating an internship position at a foreign place
Start by going through points 1-3
9. Tick off the section “Foreign”.
10. After this, fill out the name, zip code or address.
11. Press the “Search” button, and you will find PRAKTIKPORTALEN’s registered foreign internship places. If the internship place is registered, it will appear at the bottom of the page, where you will be able to select it and create a place.
12. If the wanted foreign internship place is not registered in PRAKTIKPORTALEN, press the “Create” button.
13. Fill out the information a red star highlights the mandatory information.
14. Once you have filled out the necessary information, press the “Next” button. The internship place is now registered, and you will have access to create an internship position at the place.
